KIPP KC is part of a national network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory charter schools with a track record of preparing students in educationally under served communities for success in college and in life.

KIPP KC opened its first school, KIPP Endeavor Academy, in 2007 with approximately 31 fifth grade students.  Today, KIPP Endeavor has grown to serve students in Kindergarten through 8th grade and is currently educating approximately 600 students. In the fall of 2021, KIPP KC will open their first high school beginning with 9th grade.

KIPP Endeavor Academy serves students from every zip code in the city, but aims to bring the opportunity for quality education to those students living in areas without access to high-performing schools.  Eighty-seven percent of our students are African-American or Hispanic and all students qualify for free meals through the Community Eligibility Provision.

Since 1994, KIPP has grown from two teachers in a single classroom to more than 3,000 teachers educating more than 80,000 students in 200 schools across the country.
